Vestcodes is a modern software studio building scalable digital products for startups and small businesses across the world. We work on a diverse range of projects — from full-stack web apps to custom enterprise solutions — while also developing our own internal tools and platforms.

Tasks

Role Overview

Backend Development Interns

Responsibilities


  • Build and maintain RESTful / GraphQL APIs using

    Node.js

    and

    NestJS


  • Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB)

  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code

  • Implement authentication, authorization, and middleware logic

  • Collaborate with the frontend team to integrate APIs

  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimization


Requirements

  • Good understanding of

    JavaScript / TypeScript


  • Familiarity with

    Node.js

    and frameworks like

    Express.js

    or

    NestJS


  • Basic understanding of databases and query optimization

  • Knowledge of REST, JSON, and HTTP fundamentals

  • Version control experience with Git and GitHub

  • Experience with

    Docker

    ,

    Postman

    , or

    Swagger


  • Understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.)

  • Familiarity with caching, queues, and async patterns
