Role Overview

Backend Developer

This is a hands-on learning role where you’ll gain real-world experience with modern tools, frameworks, and cloud services while contributing to live projects.

Responsibilities

Backend Development

• Assist in building and maintaining backend services using 

  Node.js

   and 

  AWS Lambda (Serverless)

  .
• Support the design of APIs and microservices that are reliable and secure.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code under mentorship.

Cloud & DevOps (Learning Track)

• Learn to set up and manage cloud infrastructure using tools like 

  Terraform

   and 

  CloudFormation

  .
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation with 

  GitHub Actions

   or similar tools.
• Explore monitoring and logging with 

  CloudWatch

   or 

  Datadog

  .

Collaboration

• Work with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to build end-to-end features.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint meetings, and documentation efforts.
• Take ownership of your learning journey — grow with guidance and hands-on mentorship.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of 

  Node.js

   and JavaScript fundamentals.
• Understanding of 

  cloud concepts

   (AWS basics preferred).
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
• Enthusiasm to learn about APIs, DevOps, and backend architecture.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to AWS services like 

  S3

  , 

  API Gateway

  Lambda

• Awareness of containerisation tools like 

  Docker

• Personal or academic projects showcasing backend or cloud work.
