Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services using Node.js.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs / GraphQL APIs with best practices (security, versioning, documentation).
Architect and implement microservices-based solutions with proper service communication patterns.
Work with databases\ NoSQL: schema design, query optimization, data modeling.
Implement caching strategies (Redis, Memcached) to improve performance and scalability.
Integrate with external APIs, middleware, and third-party services.
Write unit/integration tests using frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Supertest.
Ensure security best practices (authentication, authorization, input validation, OWASP compliance).
Deploy and monitor services using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with front-end developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentoring junior developers.

Required Skills & Experience

68 years
of backend development experience, with at least 6
years in Node.js
.
Strong understanding of
JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
.
Expertise in building
RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, and microservices architectures
.
Experience with
Express.js, Fastify, or NestJS frameworks
.
Solid knowledge of
databases
:

Relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB)

Experience with
message brokers/queues
(Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, SQS).
Good understanding of
event-driven architectures
and
asynchronous programming
.
Hands-on with
Docker and Kubernetes
for containerized deployments.
Cloud experience (
AWS / GCP / Azure
) with knowledge of serverless, load balancing, scaling.
Proficiency in
CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
.
Strong knowledge of
security best practices
in backend development (JWT, OAuth2, RBAC).
Experience with
monitoring/logging tools
(ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
Familiarity with
testing frameworks
(Jest, Mocha, Chai, Supertest).
