Back End Engineer

Experience

• 4-6 years of professional experience as a backend engineer, primarily working with server-side technologies.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in TypeScript and building scalable backend applications using Express (NestJS preferred)
• Proficient in building and managing Microservices architecture.
• Experience with ORM, preferably Prisma.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming and messaging.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including but not limited to Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, and Kubernetes Engine.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, database systems (SQL/NoSQL), and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of containerization using Docker.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, and observability tools and practices.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using NestJS within a microservices architecture.
• Implement robust messaging and event-driven architectures using Kafka.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize applications and services on Google Cloud Platform.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, reliability, and security of backend services.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Perform comprehensive testing and debugging, addressing production issues promptly.
