Job Description

As a Senior Team Lead, Software Engineering/Architecture at NTT DATA, your role involves providing operational support to a team of developers, engineers, and architects. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating team activities to ensure the timely delivery of software engineering and architecture projects while meeting quality standards. Your contributions to the development of standards, policies, and procedures related to the function will be vital. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the activities of the software engineering/architecture team, setting goals for timely project delivery. - Provide input to the development, planning, directing, coordination, and management of processes related to software engineering/architecture initiatives and projects. - Collaborate with internal and external partners to address issues, ensuring prompt resolution. - Ensure relevant procedures and processes are in place and followed throughout the software engineering/architecture lifecycle. - Drive the architectural vision by translating product requirements into work items for the team and ensuring task completion. - Coordinate resources and streamline processes to meet deliverables within expected timelines. - Contribute to the design and execution of the software engineering/architecture lifecycle and associated activities. - Provide input on quality assurance, automated testing requirements, and technology guidelines. - Collaborate with product owners and end users to translate requirements for the team. - Monitor project execution from conception to implementation, reporting project status regularly. - Respond to requests for proposals (RFP) with timelines, deliverables, and budget details. - Document release packages and ensure the team has access to new releases. - Stay updated on current and upcoming technologies and identify best practices for software engineering and architecture documentation. Qualifications Required: - Understanding of regulatory, risk, and compliance environment and requirements. - Knowledge of programming languages, complex applications, and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with software development, engineering, and architecture life cycle processes. - Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall methodologies. - Knowledge of software processes including analysis, development, coding, testing, problem resolution, and planning. - Understanding of build and release processes, environment management, and source control. - Ability to build and manage a cohesive team effectively. - Capacity to balance short-term and long-term actions of the team. - Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders. Academic qualifications and certifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Relevant certifications required. Required Experience: - Line manager experience in a technical lead capacity. - Experience in building, managing, and leading software development, engineering, or architecture teams. - Experience dealing with stakeholders, building relationships, and negotiating. - Experience delivering large software projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies. - IT experience in a complex business environment, translating technical concepts into business terms. - Experience in negotiation or management of third-party services. - Experience in developing and implementing strategies in a multi-supplier environment. - Previous experience with resource allocation in a project environment.
