Azure Infrastructure Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure cloud infrastructures.
  
• Lead or support cloud migration projects including assessment, planning, and execution.
  
• Architect and implement Azure services including VMs, VNets, Storage Accounts, Azure SQL, AKS, App Services, Load Balancers, and Azure Firewall.
  
• Implement cloud networking components such as VNet peering, NSGs, DNS, VPN Gateways, ExpressRoute, and Application Gateways.
  
• Develop automation solutions using ARM Templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
  
• Ensure security best practices using Azure Defender, Azure Policies, RBAC, Key Vault, and identity governance.
  
• Design high availability, disaster recovery (Azure Site Recovery), and backup strategies.
  
• Collaborate with application, DevOps, and security teams to define cloud standards and reusable architecture patterns.
  
• Conduct performance optimization and cost governance across Azure environments.
  
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, network, and security issues.
  

Required Skills

• experience in cloud infrastructure or architecture roles with strong Azure expertise.
  
• Hands-on experience with Azure Compute, Storage, Networking, Monitoring, Security, and Identity services.
  
• Strong understanding of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, NVA, Load Balancers, routing).
  
• Experience in automation tools such as Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or PowerShell.
  
• Good understanding of cloud security principles and Azure AD (Entra ID).
  
• Experience managing hybrid cloud architectures and on-prem to Azure migrations.
  
• Strong analytical skills and ability to design scalable solutions.
  
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
  

Preferred Skills

• Azure Certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-900, or related).
  
• Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
  
• Knowledge of AKS, containerization, microservices, and monitoring tools (Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana).
  
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices.
