Azure Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

· Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines on Azure Data Platform.

· Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and other Azure services.

· Implement and manage data lakes and data warehouses using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Data Lake Storage.

· Work with Azure Databricks and PySpark for big data processing and transformation.

· Ensure data quality, governance, and security in line with organizational policies.

· Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to provide clean and structured datasets.

· Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve performance of data solutions.

· Implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Azure DevOps.

· Stay updated with the latest Azure data engineering tools and practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.

· Proven experience as a Data Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

· Strong proficiency in: Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks / PySpark, Azure Synapse Analytics / SQL Server / Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).

· Strong SQL skills for data querying and optimization.

· Experience in ETL/ELT design and data modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, etc.).

· Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub.

· Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.

· Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
