Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Account manager to oversee and manage large AWS accounts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end governance, client relationship management, and account farming to ensure the successful adoption and growth of our AWS services. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong interpersonal skills and a deep understanding of AWS technologies and client needs.

1. Account Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in large accounts.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all account-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Understand client requirements and ensure that AWS solutions meet their business objectives.

2. Incident Management and Support

  • Assist customers in troubleshooting complex issues, coordinating with AWS support and engineering teams when necessary.
  • Drive resolution of critical incidents and conduct post-incident analysis to prevent recurrence.

3. Governance

  • Implement and enforce best practices for AWS governance, including cost management, security, compliance, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor and manage AWS usage, providing regular reports on account status and usage metrics.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations.

4. Account Farming

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for account expansion and upsell of additional AWS services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to develop tailored solutions that address client needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute account strategies to achieve long-term business goals and maximize account profitability.

5. Client Advocacy

  • Advocate for clients within the organization, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Gather and communicate client feedback to improve service offerings and customer satisfaction.

6. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and delivery of AWS services.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations throughout the lifecycle of AWS engagements.

7. Market Intelligence

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to provide clients with relevant insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Masters degree and relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.

Experience

  • Proven experience in account management or sales roles within the AWS services industry.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large accounts and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of AWS technologies, governance frameworks, and best practices.

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in AWS platforms and related tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
