AWS Platform Engineer - DevOps

Key Responsibilities

Infra Design and Deployment:
Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure on AWS.
CI/CD Pipeline Management:
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and AWS Code Pipeline.
Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC):
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation to automate infra provisioning and management.
Collaboration:
Work closely with development and operations teams to optimize application environments and ensure seamless deployment processes.
Container Management:
Manage containerized environments using AWS services like ECS, EKS, and Fargate.
Monitoring and Security:
Configure and maintain monitoring systems with AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana. Perform security and vulnerability assessments of the cloud infrastructure.
Automation:
Automate and streamline operations for platform provisioning, scaling, and monitoring.
Troubleshooting and Improvement:
Troubleshoot platform-related issues and drive continuous improvements.

Core Tech Skills

AWS Expertise:
Proven experience in cloud platform engineering with a strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Containerization:
Hands-on experience with container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Scripting and Automation:
Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
IaC Tools:
Solid experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
CI/CD Tools:
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
Cloud Security:
Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, encryption, and compliance.
Monitoring/Logging Tools:
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, AWS CloudWatch, Cloud Trail or the ELK stack.
Agile Methodologies:
Familiarity with Agile DevOps methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Certifications:
AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer/Developer).
Multi-Cloud Experience:
Experience with multi-cloud environments.
Serverless Architecture:
Experience with serverless architecture, particularly AWS Lambda.
Performance Tuning:
Experience with performance tuning and optimization.
