Role & responsibilities

This position would include the mentioned set of responsibilities but not limited to:

• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective compliance program that includes policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Ensure compliance of regulatory / supervisory directions given by RBI in both letter and spirit in a timebound and sustainable manner.
• Ensuring efficient implementation execution of the compliance program and regularly updating the compliance framework applicable to all business units.
• Maintaining and updating the Companys statutory compliance records, registers and policy manuals.
• Regulatory management including timely follow up and reporting on compliance matters, attending to all Corporate Governance and disclosure requirements and handling audits under the Statutes applicable to the Company, relating to compliance and governance matters.
• Ensuring compliance of regulatory guidelines to new product and processes.
• Applying effective risk management techniques and provide proactive practical advice/ remedies to the Business Teams to mitigate compliance risks involved in the business transactions.
• Provide expert advice to senior management and business units on compliance-related matters, including the interpretation of complex regulatory requirements.
• Monitoring changes in laws and regulations that affect the organization and assess the impact of these changes on the compliance program.
• Collaborate with the risk management and departments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Liaise with, and represent the Company before various regulatory forums, including regulators, public authority, parent bank, etc. and creating relations of trust.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all regulatory agencies, including the RBI, in matters related to compliance.

Applicants should possess the following attributes:

• Relevant experience in NBFC/Credit Card business or other financial institutions
• Should be able to understand the compliance ecosphere in the retail product business within BFSI.
• Have fair understanding of all applicable regulatory / statutory guidelines wrt Credit Card business.
• Expertise in all statutory & regulatory compliances, MCA 21 filings, XBRL Filings etc. under the RBI / FEMA etc.
• Ability to identify potential issues and proactively plan action to mitigate legal, business and financial risks.
• Ability to partner with Business Function (s) to address their needs and drive organization wide compliances across functions.
• Understanding the applicability and interpretation of corporate and banking laws, legislation, rules, circulars, directions and practices.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication, research, organizational and analytical skills.
• Be a self-starter and self-motivated individual and display high ownership and enthusiasm at work.
• Detail-oriented and results-driven team player.
• Strong interpersonal skills in relationship building and for coordination with various locations/departments for collecting information and to enable smooth work, while maintaining confidentiality of information.
