Job Description

Role Overview: As an AVP, Remediation Analytic Controls at Synchrony, you will collaborate with a team to perform testing in key controls across the remediation life cycle. Your role will involve certifying impacted populations, validating execution actions, driving reporting development, and supporting various projects to ensure the accuracy and success of timely remediation actions. Key Responsibilities: - Support key control efforts to ensure remediation accuracy and timeliness by assisting with path and scope accuracy, clarifying business requirements, reviewing documentation, supporting transactional testing, monitoring progress, and communicating updates to stakeholders. - Perform controlled testing of remediation analytic and execution efforts by identifying risks, assisting in investigation, solutioning, and escalation for efficient resolution. - Deliver accurate data sampling, reporting, and analytics using enterprise-wide data sources to evaluate impact population identification effectively. - Drive process efficiencies by developing automated solutions and enhancements to existing data analytics tools to improve the quality of remediation processes. - Develop Advanced SAS and/or SQL code, visual basic macros, or other query tools to support analytic solutions and algorithms. - Maintain knowledge of data warehouses, business portfolios, compliance, and regulatory changes to ensure effective internal and external testing. - Provide guidance to project teams and stakeholders to drive efficiency in control reviews and manage projects essential for a strong control environment. - Support internal and external audit activities as required and handle other assigned duties and special projects. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any quantitative stream with 4+ years of relevant analytics/data science experience. - Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience in absence of the specified degree. - Minimum 4+ years of direct experience in analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, Python, R, Spark, or Hadoop. - Strong communication skills to present complex subjects to senior management and business stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft programs and ability to work independently within tight deadlines. - Ability to work from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST Monday through Friday.
