AVP, Remediation Analytic Controls

In the role of AVP, Remediation Analytic Controls at Synchrony, you will be collaborating with a team comprising process, risk, analytic, and transactional testing subject matter experts to conduct testing on key controls throughout the remediation life cycle. Your responsibilities will include supporting key control efforts, performing controlled testing of remediation analytic and execution efforts, delivering accurate data sampling and reporting, driving process efficiencies through developing automated solutions, and maintaining a strong understanding of data warehouses, business portfolios, compliance, and regulatory changes. Your role will also involve providing guidance to project teams and key stakeholders, managing projects to ensure a robust control environment, supporting internal and external audit activities, and handling other assigned duties and special projects. Key Responsibilities: - Support key control efforts to ensure remediation accuracy and timeliness - Perform controlled testing of remediation analytic and execution efforts - Deliver accurate data sampling, reporting, and analytics - Drive process efficiencies through developing automated solutions - Develop Advanced SAS and/or SQL code, visual basic macros, business object, or other query tools - Provide guidance and support to project teams and key stakeholders - Manage projects vital to a strong control environment - Support internal and external audit activities - Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or any other quantitative streams with 4+ years of direct relevant analytics/data science experience - Minimum 6+ years of relevant work experience in lieu of specified degree - Minimum 4+ years direct experience on analytical tools (SAS, SQL, Python, R, Spark, or Hadoop) - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and PowerPoint - Able to work 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST Monday through Friday Additional Company Details: Synchrony is a premier consumer financial services company offering a complete digitally enabled product suite.
