Join us as an Assistant Vice President -Model Developer at Barclays, where you will spearhead the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. As a key member of the Quantitative Analytics (QA) global organization, led by Olaf Springer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and supporting quantitative models for valuation and risk management across various areas within Barclays. Your role as a Quantitative Modeller will involve providing project-specific leadership in building targeting solutions that integrate effectively into existing systems and processes while ensuring strong and consistent performance. Collaborating with QA Managers, you will offer expertise in project design, predictive model development, validation, monitoring, tracking, and implementation. To succeed in this role, you should have experience in developing predictive and statistical analyses, optimization procedures, monitoring processes, and data quality analyses. You will participate in project design and delivery with other functional teams and end-clients, producing robust documentation to ensure replicability of results and compliance with Barclays governance requirements. Additionally, you will work constructively with colleagues across the organization to deliver projects within agreed timeframes and ensure client satisfaction. Your responsibilities will also include stakeholder management and leadership, where you will lead resources on projects, manage system migrations, validate business requirements, and report on progress to relevant stakeholders. Decision-making and problem-solving skills will be essential as you analyze existing solutions, identify opportunities for improvement, and inform the strategic direction of the Python environment. As an Assistant Vice President, you are expected to advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Whether in a leadership role or as an individual contributor, you will collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions, leading complex tasks and guiding team members to deliver work that impacts the entire business function. Accountabilities: - Design analytics and modeling solutions to complex business problems using domain expertise. - Collaborate with technology to specify dependencies required for analytical solutions. - Develop high-performing, comprehensively documented analytics and modeling solutions. - Implement analytics and models in accurate, stable, well-tested software. - Provide ongoing support for the effectiveness of analytics and modeling solutions. - Ensure conformance to all Barclays Enterprise Risk Management Policies.
