The GIMS (Goodyear Intelligent Mobility Solutions) Systems Integration Team is seeking a talented and motivated Automotive Systems Requirements Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in defining and managing system requirements for automotive projects, collaborating closely with software and hardware teams, and conducting gap analysis in partnership with OEMs (original equipment manufacturers).
Responsibilities
- Define and document system requirements for automotive projects, ensuring clarity, completeness, and traceability.
- Utilize Polarion or similar tools for requirements management, maintaining an organized and accessible repository for all project stakeholders.
- Work closely with software and hardware engineering teams to understand technical constraints, dependencies, and design considerations.
- Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements and design decisions.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, design decisions, and change requests
- Ensure that all defined requirements adhere to industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the requirements engineering process by identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into the requirements engineering process.
Skills & Experience Required
- Education: Bachelor's degree in embedded systems, electrical engineering, or a related field, required. Master's degree desired.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years' experience with 3+ years of experience in automotive requirements engineering, with a proven track record of utilizing tools like Polarion for effective requirements management, required.
- Proficient in requirements management tools such as Polarion.
- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulatory requirements like ASPICE.
- Knowledge of system and software requirements engineering standard ISO29148.
- Strong knowledge of Sysml / UML modeling languages" Strong understanding of software and hardware development processes in an automotive context.
- Good to have IREB Certification.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
