Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for RESTful and SOAP APIs using Karate. UI automation using selenium with BDD Cucumber and Java - Web Create and execute test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications. Implement service virtualisation to simulate downstream dependencies and ensure continuity during testing cycles. Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and business analysts to define test strategies and resolve defects. Perform regression, performance, and security testing of APIs. Generate detailed test reports and dashboards using tools such as Apache POI, Karate, and HTML reporting utilities. Validate API responses and database records using custom DB validators and response validators. Ensure integration of API testing within CI/CD pipelines and Agile workflows.
Required Skills
Strong experience in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia, SoapUI). Proficiency in Java-based automation frameworks and scripting. Hands-on experience with service virtualisation tools (e.g., CA DevTest). Familiarity with data-driven testing and parameterization using external datasheets.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. Certifications in API testing or automation tools are a plus. Experience working in financial services or regulated environments is desirable
