Automation Software Developer

Role Overview: As an Automation Software Developer, you will design and implement software solutions that integrate with industrial systems and automated equipment. Your responsibilities will include creating reliable and scalable applications, interfacing with hardware such as PLCs, vision systems, barcode scanners, and sensors, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring system performance, reliability, and safety standards are met. Additionally, you will be involved in conducting software testing, debugging, deployment, maintaining version control, supporting system commissioning, and troubleshooting software-related issues in the field. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain automation software for control systems and industrial applications - Create user interfaces and backend logic to integrate with devices like PLCs, vision cameras, and sensors - Implement and manage communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, OPC UA, etc.) - Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to align software with system design - Ensure system performance, reliability, and safety standards are met - Maintain proper version control and documentation of all software components - Support system commissioning and troubleshooting software-related issues in the field Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field - Strong programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or similar languages (0-1 year experience preferred) - Hands-on experience with PLCs (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens) and SCADA/HMI systems - Familiarity with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, HIKrobot) and automation sensors - Proficiency in industrial communication protocols and network configurations - Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Additional Company Details: You will have the opportunity to work in the Engineering / IT department within the Industrial Automation / Software / Manufacturing industry.
