You will be tasked with selecting the appropriate Ignition modules and third-party integrations to fulfill project requirements effectively. Your role will involve establishing seamless communication between Ignition and various systems like PLCs, databases, and devices using protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus. Designing solutions that adhere to cybersecurity standards and protect against potential threats will be a critical aspect of your job. In addition to these responsibilities, you will provide technical guidance to development teams and clients, offering best practices for utilizing Ignition and troubleshooting any issues that may arise. Creating detailed technical specifications, architectural blueprints, and documentation to support solution implementation and maintenance will also be part of your duties. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 8 years of experience with SCADA/HMI systems, including at least 5 years working specifically with Ignition by Inductive Automation.
