Automation Lead

The incumbent must have knowledge in software testing methodologies, automation best practices, and software development life cycle (SDLC).

The incumbent will lead, design and write automated scripts for functional testing, integration testing and regression testing with aid of TOSCA. The resource would work initially for few sprints with manual testing to understand the application nuances. The resource will be responsible for monitoring results, logging defects, and validation of defect fixes. The resource will be involved in the development and maintenance of the automation framework. Prior experience in API automation is required in TOSCA and mobile automation in TOSCA is desirable. Flexible with US overlap timings extending to IST late nights.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Writing automated test scripts with the aid of test tools using TOSCA
• Performing peer reviews and taking the deliverables to closure
• Testing software web applications / applications against the system requirements and specification requirements including strong knowledge in REST API testing
• Working closely with the internal and external design teams in identifying problems
• Writing / Formulating Test strategies and preparing test cases in line with the functional requirements
• Document identified problems with enough detail and in a manner that supports resolution
• Produce periodic status and operational reports
• Extensively worked on different types of test automation frameworks
• Investigating and analyzing issues and clearly able to distinguish the problems as applications and automation script failures

Requirements/Qualifications:

Required

• A minimum of 7 to 9 years (with at least 6+ years of automation) testing experience with a significant focus being on test automation tool - TOSCA
• Implementing test automation for projects/web applications using TOSCA automation tool
• API Testing skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Passion to maintain a high degree of quality in Testing and finding issues in application under test with strong skills in Manual Functional testing
• Good knowledge of the SDLC as well as various software testing methodologies
• Experience of Agile Development Lifecycle
• TOSCA Certifications AS1 and AS2 Mandatory and other advanced certifications (Preferred)
• Mobile application testing using TOSCA
• Any POC done of Tosca AI features (preferred)
• Experience of working in SFDC platform/Salesforce Experience Cloud
• Experience of Databases SQL
• I have experience in writing test strategy, test plans, and writing manual test cases.
• Experience in identifying test suite for smoke/sanity and Regression testing
• Experience in following Tosca best practices
• Adhere to Testing SLAs
• I am well experienced in handling both manual and automation team of 3-4 members

Desirable Skills

• Experience of performing POC's in TOSCA
• Knowledge of C# would be added advantage.
