As a Playwright QA at Movate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and quality of software applications through manual and automation testing processes. With 4-8 years of experience in QA testing, you will be based in Chennai/Bangalore and work in a Work From Office (WFO) setting with afternoon shift timings from 2pm to 11pm. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and executing manual test cases for web and mobile applications based on functional requirements. You will conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing to identify defects, perform black-box testing to validate application functionality, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. Additionally, you will plan and prioritize automation testing activities, write and execute automated tests, and maintain test automation frameworks. To excel in this role, you must have expertise in functional and automation testing, proficiency in black-box testing, and strong bug reporting and tracking skills using tools like JIRA. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyze bug reports, and prioritize test cases will be essential for optimizing application functionality and ensuring high-quality releases. Hands-on experience with multi-channel commerce or ERP systems, testing methodologies, and automation tools such as Selenium and Playwright will be beneficial. In addition to your technical skills, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle and QA methodologies, and familiarity with Agile methodology. Your success in this role will be measured by the timely delivery of projects with high quality, efficient communication, defect management, and process improvements. You should be willing to work extended hours when required and be open to occasional system implementations outside of business hours.
