Functional Test Lead

As a Functional Test Lead at Frugal Testing, your primary responsibility will be to manage the testing effort of the team with care, attention to detail, and rigor. You will be expected to have a good understanding of QA methodology, automation expertise, and coding abilities. It is crucial to stay updated with the latest trends in the commercial environment and incorporate them into your testing approach. Your daily tasks will include developing and executing test cases, reporting bugs, sending regular status reports on bugs and functionality, recording test results, and creating test reports. You will also be responsible for running regression tests, suggesting fixes, identifying functional problems, and documenting technical issues and solutions. In addition, you should possess in-depth knowledge of the SDLC, various software testing methodologies, perform Functional/Black box testing, SQL queries, and Data Analysis. Experience in Bug tracking tools like Trello/JIRA, Project Tracking, and SVN software to produce reports and metrics is preferred. Furthermore, you will be involved in supporting the testing phase and ensuring a quick turnaround of defect fixes. Participating in design and specification reviews, designing test plans, and communicating project status updates to the QA manager and stakeholders are vital aspects of your role. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelors/MCA/M.Tech. degree from a reputed college, have experience in Automation testing, managing a team of QA Engineers, and communicating with clients. Understanding of test-driven development, software development lifecycle, Agile and Waterfall processes, user interface design, and software quality assurance best practices is essential.
