Automation Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Understand project requirements and efficiently complete all tasks assigned by the Supervisor.
  
• Actively participate in

  meetings, workshops, and training programs

  to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Design, implement, and test a wide range of

  I/O systems

  (HART, Modbus, FF, Profibus, etc.), along with

  basic control functions, interlocks, sequences, operator interfaces, and other control elements

  on both DCS and PLC platforms.
• Prepare and maintain detailed

  documentation of control and safety functions

  , present them to clients, and secure approvals.
• Develop

  simulations, test scenarios, and test documentation

  , and take part in

  Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)

  with customers.
• Contribute actively to

  project meetings, client discussions, site visits, and commissioning support activities

  .
• Troubleshoot and resolve

  control and communication issues

  between different systems during FATs and at project sites.
• Manage and maintain

  project databases, configuration data, and related documentation

  to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Compile data and generate reports for

  customer proposals, FEED studies, project design documents, FAT/SAT procedures

  , and other project deliverables.
• Identify

  technical opportunities and cost-effective solutions for control system improvements

  , and communicate recommendations to the Project Manager and/or Sales team.

Preferred candidate profile

Must be a Graduate in Engineering Disciplines Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering,

Instrumentation & Control Engineering

Job Requirement

• Expertise in

  Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Systems, Fire & Gas Systems, IIoT, and Industry 4.0

  solutions.
• Well-versed in

  industry standards and best practices

  (e.g., ISA standards) relevant to control system design.
• Strong and evolving knowledge of

  process control concepts, methodologies, and applications

  .
• Proficient in

  networking devices and components

  , including Ethernet switches, fiber optic switches, and firewalls.
• Solid understanding of

  industrial communication protocols

  , such as Modbus, Profibus, HART, and Foundation Fieldbus (FF).
• Excellent

  written and verbal communication skills

  , with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to work both

  independently and collaboratively in team environments

  , managing multiple projects simultaneously.
