Job Description

As a Senior QA Engineer specializing in Automation and Performance Testing, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks and performance testing strategies. Your primary focus will be to collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QE engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant software products. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing. You will write and execute automated test scripts using tools like WebdriverIO or Playwright. Additionally, you will develop and execute performance testing strategies using tools like Artillery.io, K6, SpeedScale, or Gatling. Analyzing performance test results and collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve bottlenecks will also be part of your role. In this position, you will lead test efforts by assigning tasks, running status meetings, and participating in sprint planning. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align testing strategies with business goals and ensure high-quality releases. Driving improvements in test coverage across unit, functional, and load tests will be essential to your success. Identifying, tracking, and resolving software defects using tools like Jira or AWS DevOps will also be a key part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will mentor junior QE engineers in best practices for automation and performance testing. Staying updated on industry trends and advocating for process improvements to enhance the software development lifecycle will be critical in this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 7+ years of relevant experience. Extensive experience in developing test automation frameworks and performance testing strategies is required. Proficiency with automation tools like WebDriverIO, Playwright, and Protractor is essential. Hands-on experience with performance testing tools like Artillery.io, K6, JMeter, or Gatling is also necessary. Strong programming skills in languages like TypeScript and JavaScript will be beneficial. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automation with tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions is preferred. A solid understanding of Agile methodologies and QE processes is required. You should have a proven ability to debug complex issues and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is expected. Nice to have qualifications include experience scaling large web applications and maintaining high availability services, familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, knowledge of E-Commerce and subscription systems, experience with AWS, knowledge or experience of E-Commerce systems, Product Information Management (PIM) solutions, working experience with ElasticSearch, familiarity with third-party backend API integrations, ISTQB or similar QE certifications, and experience with the Netlify environment.,
