The AutoCAD Expert (Civil Engineer) will support the engineering consultancy team in preparing accurate technical drawings, GIS-based mapping, and design layouts for storm water drainage, sewerage networks, and civil infrastructure projects. The role requires advanced expertise in AutoCAD and GIS tools to ensure high-quality design deliverables aligned with project specifications and international standards.

2. Key Responsibilities.

A. AutoCAD Drafting & Design

• Prepare detailed drawings, plans, sections, and layouts for stormwater drainage and sewerage systems.
• Draft engineering drawings for pipelines, manholes, chambers, culverts, pump stations, and related structures.
• Update and revise drawings as per engineers' instructions and design changes.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with drafting standards.

B. GIS & Mapping

• Develop GIS-based maps and layers for stormwater and sewerage networks.
• Interpret survey data, topographic maps, and utility layouts to create GIS-integrated drawings.
• Coordinate with survey teams to integrate field data with CAD/GIS models.

C. Coordination & Technical Support

• Work closely with design engineers, project managers and field teams to ensure continuity between drawings and project requirements.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings based on on-site observations and measurements.
• Participate in design review meetings and implement feedback promptly.

D. Quality Assurance

• Ensure drawings follow company drafting standards, quality guidelines, and industry codes.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings and ensure all layers, scales, and formats are correct.
• Maintain version control and proper documentation of drawing updates.

3. Required Qualifications

• BE or Diploma in Civil Engineering

  from a recognized institution.

• AutoCAD Certification

  (mandatory).

• Minimum 5 years of experience

  in AutoCAD and GIS work, specifically in

  storm water and sewerage projects

  .
• Strong knowledge of pipeline design standards, drainage layouts, and municipal infrastructure.

4. Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in

  AutoCAD (2D/3D)

  and CAD standards.
• Experience with

  GIS tools

  (ArcGIS / QGIS preferred).
• Familiarity with storm water and sewerage network design.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, survey data, and utility layouts.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
