Audit Manager

As an Audit Manager at EY Malta Assurance Department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality audit and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, focusing on understanding business risks and effective risk management. You will use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and advanced technology to evaluate business processes and controls. **Key Responsibilities:** - Effectively manage the audit process, considering audit risk issues and accounting technical matters. - Lead and manage fieldwork on client sites, ensuring smooth delivery of the audit process. - Review work prepared by audit personnel and provide recommendations for improvement. - Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (IFRS and Local GAAP) and financial reporting matters. - Apply a solution-based approach to problem-solving and ensure compliance with International Standards of Auditing (ISA). - Influence and shape the direction of activities internally and externally. - Organize your team to ensure clear processes, roles, and responsibilities. - Coach and mentor junior team members for their development. - Provide on-the-job training to develop auditing skills and familiarity with the firm's audit methodology. **Qualifications Required:** - Masters in Accounts, ACA/CA/ACCA or an equivalent international qualification. - Minimum of 2 years of experience at the audit manager level. - Proven project management skills and excellent communication abilities. - Thorough knowledge of IFRS, local GAAP, risk management procedures, and regulatory requirements. **Skills and Attributes for Success:** - Leading fieldwork, managing performance, and updating engagement leaders on audit engagements. - Completing audit processes and documenting higher-risk areas to enhance technical and business skills. - Engaging clients, providing authoritative advice, and staying updated on market trends. - Referring clients to colleagues in other teams to broaden business relationships. - Developing a deep understanding of clients" ambitions and needs.
