As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will engage in researching, designing, developing, simulating, and validating systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions to drive the advancement of cutting-edge technology. Collaboration across functional teams is key to meet and surpass system-level requirements and standards. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field along with 3+ years of Systems Engineering or relevant work experience. - OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. - OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Systems Engineering or related work experience. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Utilize Systems expertise to research, design, develop, simulate, and validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring adherence to system-level requirements and standards. - Conduct functional analysis to drive requirements and specifications for hardware and software, aligning with defined standards. - Develop and analyze complex system-level designs including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of new systems or modifications to existing ones. - Collaborate with internal teams to complete project work, implementing and testing features, and ensuring system accuracy. - Generate new and innovative ideas for product or feature enhancement. - Lead the triage of complex problems at the system level to identify root causes and present testing and debugging results to internal stakeholders. Level of Responsibility: - Work independently with minimal supervision. - Decision-making may impact work beyond immediate work group. - Effective verbal and written communication skills are required to convey information and may involve basic negotiation, influence, and tact. - Hold a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions and may be consulted by senior leadership for key decisions. - Tasks involve multiple steps that may need to be performed in various orders, requiring planning, problem-solving, and prioritization for effective completion.
