Key Responsibilities: Provide daily supervision, counseling, and emotional support to shelter residents. Assist elderly and vulnerable individuals in daily activities, including hygiene, meals, and social interactions. Coordinate with medical professionals for regular health check-ups and emergency care. Facilitate social and recreational activities to improve residents' quality of life. Ensure adherence to shelter rules and maintain a safe, clean living environment. Document and report residents’ health and well-being updates to the management. Work closely with caregivers, nurses, and other staff to ensure holistic care. Assist in rehabilitating and reintegrating residents with families or community-based programs. Handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or related field, with a focus on mental health counseling or clinical social work. Prior experience in geriatric care, mental health care, and working with diverse populations, preferably in a nonprofit or community-based setting. Must be willing to stay at the shelter and be available for residents’ needs. Strong assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention skills, with knowledge of trauma-informed care and culturally competent practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills, with the ability to build rapport and empower clients to achieve their goals. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems. The facility is intended for attenders of patients who need a clean, safe place to stay temporarily. The Supervisor will ensure hygiene, manage occupancy, collect payments, and assist guests.
