Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design and implement scalable, stable data storage and retrieval solution which supports large distributed systems and enables handling of large volume of data.
• Ensure high standards of data integrity and security by upholding and implementing existing policies and procedures.
• Review application design and implementation which is being executed by the scrum teams.
• Document the database design and maintain and update the ERD.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure lifecycle management of all databases and backup infrastructure.
• Capable of multitasking and adapt to changing requirements and working with multiple teams.

Work Experience

• 10+ to 13 years of experience in designing and maintaining large database systems, including database optimization and implementation of new database features/upgrades for increases in performance.

• Expert in Relational database technology (preferably Oracle, Postgres)

  , expert in management of database systems ( not limited to database design and database performance optimization ).

• Expert in SQL/PLSQL

  , designing indexing strategies and address performance issues.

• Experienced in developing ETL dataflows using Pentaho/Informatica

• Develop highly available (master-master, master-slave) operational and data warehouse databases.
• Maintain ERD and all other relevant documents.
• Experienced in building and implementing solutions on cloud (preferably AWS).
• Experienced in development with Agile methodology and working with scrum teams.
• Good to have experience in working with Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity.
