Associate Team Lead - Laytime Operations

Role Overview: As an Associate Team Lead at Bunge located in Mohali, Punjab, India, your main responsibility will be to oversee the Demurrage/Dispatch files of the team members. You will need to keep track of daily emails and ad-hoc requests from Freight and Commercial teams. Reviewing each fixture's terms related to Demurrage, Detention, and Dispatch Clauses to calculate amounts due for all marine shipments executed. It is crucial to have a strong understanding of charter parties and voyage documents to clarify events with trade execution and freight departments, invoice customers with supporting documentation, handle claims/dispute resolution, and ensure compliance with internal and external policies. Key Responsibilities: - Interact and collaborate effectively with trading, freight, execution, controlling, accounting, and finance desks across different regions - Calculate and settle Laytime (Demurrage, Dispatch, Detention) - Analyze charter party terms and voyage documents, and clarify events with relevant departments - Invoice customers with detailed documentation, monitor collections, and perform cash application - Maintain proper documentation as per internal and external policies and procedures - Review counterparty agreements Qualifications Required: - Degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field - Minimum 4-6 years of experience in laytime (preferably in dry bulk shipments and oils), international logistics, freight, or a related field - Proficiency in written and verbal English, with additional languages like German, French, or Spanish being desirable - Familiarity with contracts, charter parties, laytime/demurrage provisions, and marine/terminal operations - Computer proficiency in SAP, Analytical tools, and MS Office About the Company: Bunge, a world leader in sourcing, processing, and supplying oilseed and grain products, is dedicated to creating sustainable products and opportunities for farmers and consumers globally.
