Job

As a Associate Project Manager in NxtWave, you will play a pivotal role in steering our team towards achieving exceptional results. You will be responsible for team management, operational excellence, and spearheading initiatives that align with our business objectives. Your ability to foster team cohesion, manage projects efficiently, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders will be key to our success.

Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination & Communication

1. Accurately capture and communicate requirements from other teams to the instructional designer, ensuring seamless integration into project plans.
2. Facilitate effective communication between developers and other teams to ensure clear understanding and timely execution of tasks.
3. Coordinate meetings efficiently, setting clear agendas and follow-ups to resolve dependencies and action items.
4. Coordinate with the product team, provide insights into content development making learning easy for users from different backgrounds.
5. Test product features from curriculum contributor perspective and ensure all acceptance criteria is met

2. Team Engagement & Development

1. Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
2. Coordinate regular performance reviews for all team members, ensuring feedback and development opportunities are effectively communicated.
3. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and open feedback within the team
4. Facilitate rewards and recognition to acknowledge the high performers in the team
5. Identify talent gaps within the team and oversee the recruitment of professionals to fill necessary roles.

3. Operational Management

1. Efficiently manage onboarding, training, and hiring processes by coordinating ensuring they are conducted according to company standards.
2. Demonstrate effective oversight of budget approvals (clickup, hiring, etc), procurement and allocation of resources, including technical systems and software within the team to ensure the smooth project management process.
3. Keep operational documents, including tasks, sheets, sprints, and work logs, well-organized and accessible, enhancing team productivity and project tracking.
4. Create & maintain monthly reports to track team progress and performance.

4. Sprint Management

1. Ensure strict adherence to sprint schedules, contributing to the timely delivery of project milestones.
2. Create visibility for the instructional designers regarding project statuses, potential obstacles, and achievements.
3. Effectively escalating issues when necessary, ensuring that there are no delays in resolution and that all team members are informed.

Minimum

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for a diverse audience.
• Knowledge of project management tools like Click Up and agile development will be added advantage
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and organizational skills.
• Deep understanding of the challenges and needs of students.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Familiarity with the latest educational tools and tech trends, e.g. Chat GPT, Claude, etc.
