Associate Professor – Commerce (M.Com / PG)

Qualification Requirements

• Ph.D. in Commerce (as per UGC norms – mandatory)
• M.Com with consistently good academic record
• B.Com at undergraduate level
• NET / SLET / SET qualification (as per UGC regulations; exemption if Ph.D. awarded as per UGC 2009/2016 norms)
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research experience in a recognized university/college
• Publications in peer-reviewed / UGC-CARE listed journals
• Research guidance experience at PG / PhD level (desirable)

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Duties

• Teach Postgraduate (M.Com) and Undergraduate (B.Com) courses in Commerce
• Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars
• Design curriculum, course materials, and assessment methods
• Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and projects
• Mentor and guide PG students in research projects and dissertations

Research & Publications

• Conduct independent and collaborative research
• Publish research papers in UGC-CARE / Scopus / Web of Science indexed journals
• Guide PhD and M.Com research scholars
• Apply for and manage research grants and funded projects
• Present papers at national and international conferences

Academic Administration

• Participate in departmental planning, academic committees, and boards
• Assist in curriculum development and syllabus revision
• Organize workshops, seminars, conferences, and FDPs
• Support accreditation processes (NAAC, NBA, NIRF, etc.)

Institutional & Extension Activities

• Engage in student mentoring, career guidance, and placement support
• Contribute to community outreach, extension activities, and professional development programs
• Uphold academic integrity and institutional values
