Role & responsibilities

Roles and Responsibility

Duties of the Associate Professor

A.

1. Teaching degree courses, including lectures.

2. Design and developing of innovative laboratory experimental setups.

3. Planning and implementation of instruction in laboratory.

4. Student assessment and evaluation.

5. Developing resource material for teaching and learning.

6. Assisting in extension services to the industry and community.

7. Assisting in continuing education activities.

8. Leading co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

9. Participating in Students Counselling.

10. Liaison with parents and community.

11. Participation in Seminar /JC of department

12. Examination work such as organizing, supervision and assessment etc. pertaining to the College, Vidyapeeth examination.

13. Attending the conference and workshop

B.

1. Research activities and scientific publications.

2. Applying and getting grants

3. Applying and getting done of Patents and Copyright

4. Book chapter and book write up

5. Contributing effectively in identifying live projects for the students wherever applicable.

6. R & D work on industrial problems and consultancy.

7. Publication of papers, relating to his/her subjects, in renowned journals.

C.

1. On regular basis doing patients

2. Handlining OPD duties

3. Clinical advice and guidance to students

4. Attending queries related to patients

5. HIS entry and monitoring of HIS related work of students

6. Supervision of Clinical work done by students.

D.

1. Assisting in departmental administration.

2. Actively working on the committees as assigned.

3. Becoming member of at least two relevant professional bodies

4. Initiating at least one activity contributing to the proposed accreditation of the college (wherever applicable).

5. Keeping the departmental data related NABH/NAAC/NIRF/ and any other regulatory bodies

6. Motivating students to form Students Chapter of the professional bodies, if any, and actively participating in the same.

7. Contributing effectively to identifying live projects for the students wherever applicable, leading to laboratory modification and removal of obsolescence.

8. Participating in programmes, meant to improve his/her communication skills computer literacy, personality and confidence.

9. Any other duties assigned by Professor/ Dean/Director/Principal.

10. Conduction of training, workshop wherever its applicable
