Associate Manager-Tax

Role Overview: You will play a crucial role in contributing to business performance through effective tax planning and strategies aligned with overall business strategies. Your responsibilities will include providing internal tax advisory services, identifying potential opportunities or issues, resolving operational issues, leading tax-driven business initiatives, and supporting Group Tax in Tax Optimization Projects. Additionally, you will manage litigation at various forums, handle tax compliances, oversee tax accounting and controls, and generate quality MIS reports to support business decisions and compliance adherence. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to business performance through effective tax planning and strategies aligned with overall business strategies - Provide internal tax advisory services and support on business operation matters - Identify potential opportunities or issues proactively and resolve them with key departments in the organization and tax departments - Lead and coordinate tax-driven business initiatives - Support Group Tax in Tax Optimization Projects - Manage litigation at various forums and handle tax litigation preparation & representation of appeals - Lead tax compliances with all direct and indirect tax laws to ensure a risk-free environment for the business - Plan and coordinate for periodic closing for tax accounting and reporting purposes - Ensure effective and sustainable implementation of Sox/ICFR Controls compliance related to tax - Set up guidelines for BPO partners for accounting of taxes and ensure compliance - Coordinate with tax auditors for audit planning and completion - Generate and circulate quality MIS reports as per requirements for supporting business decisions and compliance adherence Qualifications Required: - Chartered Accountant with 5+ years of post-qualification experience - Subject matter expert in taxation - Excellent communication and presentation skills - Strong business acumen, detail-oriented, proactive, and result-oriented Company Background: Stryker is a global leader in medical technologies, dedicated to making healthcare better.
