Associate - Investments Team

Role Overview: As an Investment Associate at CedarIBSi Capital, you will play a pivotal role in driving the funds investment strategy by sourcing, evaluating, and executing early-stage FinTech and Financial Services-Infrastructure opportunities. Your role will require a strong combination of analytical rigor, market research, and relationship-building skills to identify high-potential ventures and support portfolio companies. You will contribute across the entire investment lifecycle - deal sourcing, diligence, portfolio management, and value creation. Additionally, you will help amplify the fund's presence in the FinTech ecosystem through thought leadership, research, and marketing contributions. Key Responsibilities: - Source and evaluate high-potential FinTech and B2B Financial Services startups through proactive outreach, research, and ecosystem engagement. - Conduct market analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence to support investment decisions and prepare investment memos. - Contribute to end-to-end deal execution, including structuring, documentation, and coordination with founders and advisors. - Support portfolio companies with MIS/reporting, strategic introductions, and operational guidance to drive value creation. - Represent the fund in the FinTech ecosystem through research publications, social media engagement, and industry forums. - Collaborate within the team to share insights, mentor peers, and continuously build knowledge in emerging FinTech trends. Qualifications Required: - Master's degree or MBA in business, or a related field. - 3-5 years of work experience as an Associate or Analyst in a Venture capital firm or in Investment Banking. - Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills. - Strong understanding of Venture Capital and FinTech domains, the startup ecosystem, investors, and industry trends. - Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple partner relationships and initiatives.,
