📌 Job Profile: Associate Hotel Manager Illam by the Ghat Position: Associate Hotel Manager Location: Illam by the Ghat (Near Kashi Vishwanath Corridor) Reporting To: Property Owner & Operations Lead Probation: 1 Month (shift timing—day or night—will be decided after probation) 🔰 Role OverviewThe Associate Hotel Manager will manage the daily operations of a 13-room premium property, supervise staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and run digital systems like the channel manager. The role requires excellent discipline, hospitality mindset, and the ability to handle guests from South India—so Tamil speaking is important.   📝 Key Responsibilities 1. Property Operations & Room Management Ensure all 13 rooms are clean, prepared, and guest-ready. Coordinate with 3 cleaning staff and 1 assistant manager. Inspect rooms before check-in and after check-out. Maintain inventory: linens, amenities, cleaning materials, etc. 2. Guest Experience & Tamil-Speaking SupportWelcome guests warmly and assist with check-in/check-out. Communicate clearly with Tamil-speaking guests (mandatory). Manage guest requests professionally and resolve issues. Collect feedback and encourage positive reviews. 3. Digital & Booking Management (Must Be Tech-Savvy)Operate Channel Manager for rates, inventory, and bookings. Respond to leads and close last-minute/night-time bookings. Manage WhatsApp communication, guest messages, OTA inquiries. Keep digital logs, checklists, and booking records updated. 4. Staff CoordinationAssign daily tasks to the 3 cleaning staff. Ensure timely room turnover and cleanliness standards. Maintain attendance and discipline. 5. Reporting & Discipline Mandatory WhatsApp reporting daily: Time you start work Time you finish Summary of tasks Behave professionally at all times; follow company SOPs. Leave only with 1-week advance notice. ⏱️ Work Schedule & BenefitsShift Timing10-hour shift (exact shift—day/night—decided after probation). Rest time included during shift. Must be available during busy days and peak temple timings. Food & Stay Free food provided daily. Room/stay can be discussed depending on requirement. ⭐ Mandatory Requirements Must speak Tamil fluently (important for guest interaction). Must wear black shirt + black trousers with company logo. Must be digitally smart – smartphone, OTA apps, channel manager, WhatsApp reporting. Respectful, calm, reliable, and guest-focused attitude. Flexible for day/night shifts. Smart communication and good behaviour with guests. 📚 Additional ResponsibilitiesHelp maintain 5-star ratings online. Provide darshan timing guidance and local assistance. Handle small purchases with approval. Support property marketing with photos/videos if needed. Assist in operations during full occupancy and festival crowd days.
