Associate, Firmwide Control Management - Controls Room Product Owner

Role Overview: As a Data Management Associate within the Meta Data Management team in the Controls Room, you will play a crucial role in supporting the onboarding and maintenance of data related to the Firmwide Operational Risk platforms and related ecosystem. Working collaboratively with Product Owners and Technology counterparts, your responsibilities will include gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating Business and Reporting metadata, ensuring compliance with Basel 239 requirements. You will also be involved in generating Business Glossary artifacts for BCBS 239 purposes and providing essential reports to stakeholders on the overall status of metadata management. Key Responsibilities: - Engage with Product Owners to collect information on Business and Reporting concepts for onboarding - Review and analyze metadata information in RDHP to ensure compliance with metadata management requirements - Refine Business concepts and reporting labels, ensuring alignment with guidelines and standards - Capture and maintain Business and Technical lineage for data traceability in collaboration with Technology counterparts - Follow up on open queries and gather additional information to meet targeted timelines - Generate scorecards, metrics, and management reports for stakeholders - Identify opportunities to automate metadata management processes using future tools - Conduct ad hoc analysis and generate data extracts using Databricks and SQL Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in Business Management/Finance or bachelors degree in Commerce/Accounts or equivalent - 8+ years of experience with 2 years in Data Management or related field - Good understanding of Data governance framework, Data quality & Data lineage - Knowledge of data structures, data models, schemas, and taxonomies - Experience with Metadata management tools such as RDHP and Jade Catalog - Understanding of ETL processes and data transformation - Strong SQL skills and familiarity with Database management platforms like Databricks - Proficiency in Tableau/Alteryx and knowledge of Python or Java for automating metadata management processes - Intermediate knowledge of MS Office suite (Note: Any additional details of the company were not provided in the job description),
