Associate Director, Information Systems - Server and Virtualization

Roles & Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development:

  Lead and develop a successful team of server and virtualization senior managers and engineers through recruitment, performance management, and career development. You will optimize resource allocation and shift coverage for 24/7 operations.

• Operational Strategy & Management:

  Establish and maintain operational metrics,

  SLAs

  , and performance standards. You will monitor and manage the enterprise server infrastructure, leading incident response and problem management for critical server issues.

• Security & Compliance:

  Oversee the implementation and maintenance of server security policies and procedures. You will ensure server compliance with regulatory requirements and generate regular reports on server performance, availability, and incident analysis.

• Strategic Partnership:

  Partner with business collaborators to understand and support organizational needs. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives in server operations and align with business objectives.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree with 7 years of experience, a Bachelor's degree with 10 years, or a Diploma with 15 years of experience in Server Operations. At least 5 of those years should be in a management role (10 years for a Diploma).
• A deep understanding of server Operating System (

  OS

  ) and virtualization support, as well as server security, networking, and storage.
• Knowledge of server monitoring, management, and automation.
• Experience with service level management and operational metrics.
• A solid background in server operations strategy and planning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (

  AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

  ) and server automation tools like

  Ansible, Python

  , or

  Power-shell

  is preferred.
• Management certifications (

  PMP, ITIL

  ) or server certifications (

  Microsoft Certified, RHCE

  ) are a plus.
