Job Description

As a candidate for the role of supporting the Clinical Developments (CD) portfolio at Novartis, you will work closely with the Head of Business Operations. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Running portfolio analysis of clinical studies and projects for all Development Units (DUs) by collecting information from various sources like Andromeda, Horizon, BoW. - Compiling insights and providing analysis of the expected evolution of the portfolio, simulating various scenarios and their impact on resourcing, capability, and overall plans. - Establishing visualization and ongoing reporting of key portfolio insights. - Supporting the creation, implementation, and refinement of CD's resource models. - Running resource modeling with respect to evolving portfolio plans and analyzing the output versus bottom-up plans. - Supporting budgeting and planning of FTEs and key financial categories, collaborating with Finance on financial tracking. - Owning the resourcing tools and ensuring their functionality, data quality, and evolution. - Managing IT projects, governance processes, and operational reporting. - Implementing and maintaining various tracking and visualization tools like dashboards and reports. - Serving as a Strategy & Operations (S&O) representative in various initiatives as assigned. - Keeping up to date on organizational changes and supporting their implementation within CD. Qualifications required for this role: - Minimum of a Masters degree or Doctorate in life sciences or business, or an MBA with a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in life science. - Fluent in English (oral and written). - 5+ years of experience in the pharma industry within a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably in a drug development Line Function. - Previous success in working with international large-scale and complex multi-/cross-functional teams. - Good understanding of drug development, planning, and governance. - Strong analytical and project management skills with a track record of executing cross-functional projects. - Advanced knowledge of international business practices. - Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills, including experience engaging with functional partners and senior leaders. - Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in various IT modalities.
