Job Description

Position Overview: As an Associate Designer, the candidate will work closely with the Senior Designers and Design Director to conceptualize and develop womens fashion collections. His/Her responsibilities will span across research, sketching, garment construction, fabric selection, and the execution of design concepts. If he/she also has experience in menswear or graphic design, we encourage him/her to bring his/her unique perspective to the table and enhance the versatility of his/her collections. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the design team to develop seasonal collections, including mood boards, sketches, and design concepts. Assist in the creation and development of technical specifications, including measurements, materials, and trims for new garments. Work with fabric swatches, prototypes, and samples to evaluate design quality and execution. Stay on top of fashion trends and consumer preferences, conducting regular market research to inform design direction. Prepare design presentations and assist in the production of seasonal line sheets. Help with the design of prints, patterns, and graphic elements for both women s and, when applicable, menswear collections. Participate in fitting sessions and assist with adjustments to prototypes and samples. Coordinate with other departments such as pattern-making, production, and merchandising to ensure design concepts are executed accurately. Maintain and organize design archives and reference materials. Required Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on women s apparel. Strong understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and design principles. Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD. A solid portfolio showcasing your design work, including women s fashion collections. Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to take direction and work independently when needed. A passion for fashion and a keen eye for trends. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in menswear design. Graphic design experience, including the ability to create prints, graphics, or logos for fashion applications. Familiarity with garment production processes and working with overseas vendors. A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
