Associate Consultant - ERP Implementation

Avalara Professional Services is looking for an experienced functional consultant well-versed in implementing software solutions for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), retail, and e-commerce to join our Professional Services team as a Project Consultant in one of our corporate offices. As the Project Consultant, you will be responsible for leading client Avalara AvaTax software projects, managing client relationships, and assisting clients in their tax and compliance automation programs. This role offers you the opportunity to be part of a team dedicated to exceeding customer expectations in sales and use tax automation services. Your main responsibilities will include articulating and managing project scopes, monitoring client projects, understanding customer requirements, following best practices for tax automation, conveying business process requirements, assisting with testing plans, training clients on Avalara products, and maintaining project and internal system updates throughout the project lifecycle. To be successful in this role, you should have 2-3 years of software delivery experience in the B2B sector, a solid understanding of accounting and tax processes, experience working with clients at various organizational levels, a customer-focused and teamwork-oriented approach, and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include experience with multiple ERP and e-commerce solutions, a demonstration of Avalara Success Traits, and excellent references from management and team members.
