Associate Consultant / Consultant

Role Overview: As a Consultant in the Anaesthesia & Critical Care department, your primary responsibility will be to provide care to patients in the Operation Theatre and Critical Care Units, as well as any other patients in the hospital requiring acute medical intervention. You will take ongoing responsibility for the patients under your care and ensure compliance with NABH standards, protocols, and documentation processes. Additionally, you will provide consultation and advisory services to clinical colleagues in various specialties, participate in developing treatment protocols, and improve infection control practices. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare patients for surgery by explaining risks and conducting pre-anesthetic check-ups - Administer anesthesia to patients - Monitor patients during surgery and post-operative periods - Resuscitate and stabilize patients in the emergency department as part of the code blue team - Be available for emergency calls in the Operation Theatre and Emergency Department - Facilitate teaching and training programs for O.T. Nurses, Technicians, and Resident Doctors - Adhere to company policies, practices, and NABH protocols - Ensure patient safety and safe utilization of equipment - Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities - Perform any assigned tasks as required by the exigencies of work - Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement initiatives Qualifications Required: - MS-MD/DNB degree - Minimum 1 year of experience - Familiarity with NABH standards and protocols (Note: No additional details of the company were present in the job description),
