Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle Database software and related products (11g/12c/19c or later).
Administer, monitor, and maintain production and non-production Oracle databases.
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
Implement database backup and recovery strategies using RMAN/Data Guard.
Manage database security, user access controls, roles, and privileges.
Monitor database health, availability, and performance using tools like OEM, AWR, ASH, and ADDM.
Perform database patching, upgrades, and migration (on-premises and cloud platforms).
Support application development teams by optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and schema design.
Maintain disaster recovery (DR) setups, including Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and GoldenGate replication.
Document database configurations, standards, and procedures.
Provide on-call support and respond to critical incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications5–8 years

Strong expertise in Oracle Database architecture, RAC, ASM, and Data Guard.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and diagnostic tools.
Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
Proven experience in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Solid knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions (RMAN, Flashback, Data Guard).
Experience with database migration to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS RDS, or Azure Database services is a plus.
Good understanding of ITIL practices for incident, change, and problem management.
Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
