Assistant/Deputy Manager - MEP (QA&QC)

Roles and Responsibilities

1.

• Develop project quality plan which comprises of setting quality standards for all stages of project execution and development that are required to be met to maintain Aparnas excellence in quality including meeting regulatory requirements and as per relevant standards.
• Survey the environment to keep abreast of trends and best practices in quality control; provide inputs to superiors for implementing the same in Aparna.
• Planning of Vendor trainings/technical trainings as per site requirements.

• Implementation of Quality assurance plan which comprises quality standards for all stages of project execution and development that are required to be met to maintain Aparna’s excellence in quality including meeting regulatory requirements and relevant standards.
• Implementation of material testing Plans, Check Lists and other quality formats.
• Ensure conducting of mock-up’s for all MEP major activities prior to typical floor execution.
• Finalizing of incoming materials in accordance with QA/QC Head.
• Monitoring all the construction activities/Incoming Materials of site and report the findings regularly to reporting manager with back up data, Root cause analysis and comments.
• Resolve specific project quality issues in liaison with project heads/HOD’s and other functionaries concerned.
• Follow-up for Pre, During & Post checking’s in accordance with Quality App/Checklist and timely submission of site Quality Reports to QA/QC Head.
• Timely submission of QRM PPT and coordination for conducting Quality Review Meetings.
• Monitoring the activities of PMC, whether all the construction activities of sites have been checked as per the Quality App/checklists or not and report to the reporting manager.
• Verify for closure of all Non-Compliance Reports raised by PMC/QA and check for implementation of PA & CA.
• Verify the accuracy of reports (Weekly & Monthly) generated by team and ensuring timely submission to HO.
• Ensure that the execution team/external vendors/contractors adhere to all quality procedures/work policies & Methodologies.
• Providing the training to execution staff, sub-ordinates, contractors and workers on all quality aspects prior to start of the work and Induction to new joiners.
• Ensure relevant standards and codes are available in the project QA&QC office as controlled documents.
• Ensure compliance with all organizational system (QMS/EMS/OHS) requirements.
• Assure all the testing methods are available for incoming materials.
• Monitoring of QA&QC documentation throughout construction phase.
• Ensure arrangement of MEP QC tools-tackles at sites based on the project specifications and ensuring timely calibration of the equipment’s.
• Monitoring timely calibration of testing and measuring equipment.
• Oversee weekly reports shared with Purchase team on vendor quality issues. Conduct vendor quality check with purchase team, for all vendors.
• Ensure standard procedures are followed for in-house testing facility at site / third party lab, ensure quality of materials tested at third party labs through checking of all reports
• Overall responsibility for procedures and compliance that ensure basic safety norms at sites are met.

3. People

• Pep talks/Trainings for Staff/Contactors and workers to create awareness on construction activities.
• Co-ordination and conducting of exams through AAT for site team.

4. Processes

• Follow department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance in a timely manner.

Desired Candidate Profile

• B. Tech/ BE (Mechanical/Electrical) with 8-10 years relevant experience as site QA&QC in construction of

  High Rise residential buildings

  and

  High End villas

  in

  Real Estate Industry

• Well versed with relevant codes and quality standards
• Experience in QA/QC techniques.
• Knowledge on ISO Documentation
• In-depth knowledge of construction sequence, key hold points, tolerances in MEP activities.
• Tools & Software: AutoCAD, MS Excel, Word, PPT etc.
• Hands on Welding Techniques& NDT.
• Material testing as per standards (MTP).
