Assistant/Deputy Manager - Drivetrain

As a drivetrain parts designer for automotive transmissions, your role will involve designing and developing various components crucial to the functioning of the transmission system. Your responsibilities will include: - Layout and packaging of the transmission within the vehicle - Designing and developing gear train parts to interface with the motor or engine - Modifying the transmission thermal system to ensure it meets the cooling requirements of the motor - Developing prototype parts and tooling parts through concurrent engineering with suppliers - Implementing countermeasures to address failures in driveline parts during testing - Analyzing market problems, NVH, and assembly issues related to the transmission system, such as pump, gear train, and thermal system To excel in this role, you should possess the following competencies: - Proficiency in CAD, specifically Uni-graphics (mandatory) and CAE - Experience in gear and shaft design, bearing selection, and lubrication & cooling circuit design - Familiarity with gear design software such as UG, Kissoft, or Romax - Knowledge of tolerance stack-up, GD&T, statistical analysis, and BOM management - Understanding of thermal and hydraulic system design - Knowledge of production processes and design for manufacturing - Familiarity with problem-solving tools like FTA, DFMEA, and QC tools Additionally, specific expertise required for this functional area includes: - Preferably having work experience in an OEM - Possessing good driving skills and a willingness to travel This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automotive technologies and contribute to the development of efficient and reliable transmission systems.,
