Assistant Vice President/Sr General Manager - Coal Mines

Role & responsibilities

• Leading and Managing Operations of coal mines.
• Experience in the production line of large mechanized underground Coal mines /mechanized opencast mines having modern mining equipment.
• Using various techniques to determine the best method of mining & planning.
• Monitoring Operations, optimum utilisation of equipment, resource planning, equipment deployment etc for goal attainment.
• Implementing Mining statute with least cost and lean manpower in Mines operating with out-sourced equipment and manpower.
• Managing the daily drilling & Blasting and Loading & Transport Operations on several faces.
• Ensuring resourceful operations & maintenance of mines including heavy mining machinery Planning & implementing the preventive & predictive maintenance schedules for improving the overall reliability and safety of Machines and personnel.
• Tracking daily breakdowns, implementing preventive maintenance programmes to improve the efficiency of the system or the equipment undergoing maintenance. Training Mining Officials, Staff and competent persons as per Mining statute.
• Working on succession planning of the workforce, rendering guidance to the staff & resolving interpersonal issues & working towards a harmonious work environment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma/BE/B.Tech in Mining with

  First Class Mines Manager Competency certificate.

• Looking for Candidates having Relevant Experience of 20 to 30 years in Coal Mining department of an infrastructure company.
• Knowledge of mining rules/regulations and dealing with regulatory authorities is essential.
• Communication Verbal and written (Hindi/English), Regional Language knowledge will be preferred.
• Computer Proficiency in MS Office (excellent in words, excel) and managing internet.
• Maintain confidentiality of the correspondence and up keeping company data with strictly confidentiality.
