Assistant Vice President - Quality

As the AVP - Quality at Sterlite, your primary responsibility will be to establish, implement, and maintain robust quality systems to uphold the highest standards in conductor manufacturing. Your role will involve overseeing quality control, assurance, and continuous improvement processes to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. You will be tasked with developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO and other relevant standards. Regular audits will need to be conducted to verify compliance with the QMS and drive necessary improvements. Overseeing the entire quality control process, from raw material inspection to finished product evaluation, will be a crucial aspect of your role. It will be imperative to ensure that all products meet customer specifications and industry standards, while also investigating and resolving quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Adherence to national and international standards such as ISO, IEC, and other applicable regulatory requirements will be essential. Staying updated with industry standards and integrating them into the production process will also fall under your purview. Implementing quality improvement programs like Lean, Six Sigma, or Total Quality Management (TQM) will be necessary to identify opportunities for process optimization. This includes reducing defects, improving efficiency, and enhancing product consistency. As the AVP - Quality, your competencies in areas such as Achievement Orientation, Altrocentric Leadership, Analytical Decision Making, and Customer Service Orientation will be crucial. Your functional expertise in Financial, Operational, People, and Strategic aspects will also play a key role in driving quality initiatives within the organization.
