Responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment. Discipline concerning power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, electric service and supply systems, lighting systems, communication service and supply systems, fire alarm and detection systems, control systems or electrical installations. An electrical engineer focuses on designing, maintaining and improving products that are powered by or produce electricity. Electrical engineering deals with electricity, electro-magnetism and electronics. It also covers power, control systems, telecommunications and signal processing. These engineers are usually concerned with large-scale electrical systems such as motor control and power transmission, as well as utilizing electricity to transmit energy. Duties and Responsibilities Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments. Identifies discrepancies in results. Provides guidance to Junior level engineers. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Overall 8+ years of work experience is preferred. Minimum Requirements Previous experience in design teams working for Grid Utilities (for e.g., National Grid, Transgrid, Powergrid etc.,) for Transmission Line Structural design is highly desirable Exposure to International standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards and Middle East region codes and standards) is preferred Previous design experience working with PLS CADD, PLS TOWER, PLS POLE, Staad Pro, Microstran or other similar software tools is highly desirable Chartership or Fellowship with ICE or equivalent is desirable Very good communication skills (Oral and Written) in English language is mandatory

Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization (e.g., Institution of Electrical Engineers, UK) Minimum Requirements Overall 8+ years of work experience is preferred. Prior experience in leading large design engineering teams performing Grid Substation design in a global consultancy firm is preferred. Experience on HV Plant Design for large EHV Grid Substations is mandatory. Position Title: Assistant Manager Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Location: Pune Reports To: Manager – Electrical and Instrumentation Team Size: Individual Contributor Role Overview: The Assistant Manager – EI&C will lead the electrical, instrumentation, and control aspects of project design and execution, ensuring solutions are technically sound, cost-effective, and tailored to customer needs. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, proposals, operations, and external partners. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Technical Oversight Provide technical guidance and support to the EI&C design team. Monitor performance and mentor junior team members across locations. Ensure compliance with international and industry standards in designs. Promote collaboration across engineering hubs and cross-disciplinary teams. Client & Project Interface Act as the primary contact for EI&C-related client communications. Lead discussions during client reviews, HAZOPs, and clarification meetings. Translate client needs into engineering solutions. Proposal & Design Support Review and interpret client specifications during proposal stages. Evaluate vendor quotes and assist in technical meetings. Ensure tender documentation and design proposals align with project goals. Operational Support Provide troubleshooting support for existing plant operations. Capture lessons learned and relay feedback to the design team. Continuous Improvement Drive quality improvement, technical innovation, and standards development. Address non-conformances and promote safety and efficiency. Champion knowledge sharing and feedback processes. Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (essential) Additional qualifications in business or project management (preferred) Experience: 15+ years in LV/ELV systems, PLC/telemetry, and instrumentation & control Industry background in water treatment, heavy industry, or mining Proven track record in design, standards compliance, and vendor management Familiarity with P&IDs, electrical calculations, control systems, and cost estimation Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines Understanding of CAPEX/OPEX balance and commercial implications of designs Proficiency in tools like PowerCAD, ETAP, CDEGS, and design software Other: Willingness to travel occasionally as needed Hands-on approach with readiness to assist in commissioning activities Work Culture & Expectations: Foster teamwork, continuous learning, and open communication Take initiative, show adaptability, and drive innovation Follow safety, quality, and compliance standards Actively contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing
