As an Assistant Vice President in the Deal and Cash Operations team at Oaktree, you will play a crucial role in private deal investment accounting. Your responsibilities will include: - Translating deal documents into accounting records accurately and meeting accounting requirements - Processing deal lifecycle events such as credit events, reorganizations, amendments, and exits in a timely and accurate manner - Accounting for cash movements through complex legal entity structures - Facilitating deal fundings, cash positioning, and hedging within demanding timelines - Coordinating with various stakeholders including investment teams, fund accounting, auditors, and counterparties - Forecasting available cash balances and preventing account overdrafts in various currencies - Participating in cross-functional initiatives to improve the private deal workflow - Managing resources, developing new team members, and establishing SLAs and KPIs for process improvement - Identifying, measuring, and mitigating process risk and implementing process improvements - Building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders - Writing effective procedures and training others when necessary To excel in this role, you will need: - 11-14 years of relevant experience in asset management, investment banking, or financial services - Experience in Investment Accounting and Operations with Alternative Investments - Proficiency in Advent Geneva and Global World Investor, Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, and SharePoint - Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills - Ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple competing priorities Education: - A Bachelor's degree is required - A Chartered Accountant (CA) with private deal experience is strongly preferred Oaktree is committed to providing an environment that is collaborative, inclusive, and diverse.
