Job Description

The ASM reports to the Country Manager or Country Sales Manager of the region assigned and plays a crucial role in supporting the Country Manager in achieving sales targets, managing the sales team, and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development:

    Collaborate with the Country Manager to develop sales strategies and plans aligned with the company's objectives and market dynamics.
  • Sales Team Management:

    Assist in managing and motivating the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets. This involves providing guidance, training, coaching, and performance feedback to the salespeople.
  • Sales Forecasting and Planning:

    Support in forecasting sales volumes, setting sales targets, and developing sales plans to maximise revenue and market share.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM):

    Help in maintaining strong relationships with key customers and accounts. This may involve participating in meetings with customers, resolving customer issues, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Performance Analysis:

    Assist in analyzing sales performance, including sales revenue and pipeline activity.
  • Sales Reporting:

    Prepare regular sales reports and updates for the Country Manager, providing insights into sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Training and Development:

    Assist in training new sales team members to enhance their sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, operations, quality and customer service departments to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Assist in Sales Negotiations:

    Support the sales team in negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Compliance and Ethics:

    Ensure that all sales activities adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Backup for the Country or Sales Manager:

    Act as a backup to the Sales Manager in their absence, assuming responsibilities and decision-making authority as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Pre-requisities:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or engineering may be preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams effectively, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to make sound judgments in complex situations.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders, and negotiate effectively.
  • Possesses an analytical mindset to interpret financial data, market trends, and performance metrics to make informed decisions.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute business plans aligned withorganizational goals and objectives.
  • Strong sales and marketing acumen, with a track record of driving revenue growth and market expension.
