Job Description

Designation: ASST. MANAGER QC (In Process Quality Control & Lab Testing) QUALIFICATION: B Tech. And M Tech. Food Science. Certified ISO Internal auditor. Certification in advanced lab testing methods essential. EXPERIENCE: 1. Minimum 7-9 years of experience in Quality Control and Food Safety with hands on experience of In Process Quality Control (IPQC) & Lab Testing of RM-PM-SFG & FG. Chemical & microbiology analysis & control. 2. Good knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. 3. Thorough knowledge of product packaging & labelling as per Food Safety and standards (Packaging and Labelling) regulation, 2011 and any other application rule and regulation is essential. 4. Exposure to & experience in following one or more Food Safety Standard requirements viz. ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRCGS, or AIB is essential. 5. Strong analytical, research skills. Experience in latest quality analysis methods, equipment and digitalization. 6. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills 7. Knowledge of Statistical Quality Control and its tools to reduce process variance and improve process capability as per 6 Sigma Standard practices. 8. Ability to work in a team environment KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensure IPQC at individual work stations of various product lines as per the approved check list 2. Compliance to requirements of ISO 22000 or any other standard adopted by the company 3. Carry out lab testing of all RM-PM-SFG & FG as per the Quality Monitoring Scheme and approved lab testing procedures in strict compliance to set product specification. 4. Decide acceptance, rework or rejection of products based on the lab testing results. 5. Supporting in the training of staff on quality standards and procedures. 6. Ensure food safety: Drive the food safety agenda in the plant and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. 7. Ensure quality: Ensure that products are cleared for dispatch as per quality norms. 8. Maintain the lab equipment-Instruments and ensure timely calibration. 9. Keep abreast of latest product analysis techniques and implement in material testing and analysis. 10. Train & instruction IPQC/line inspectors for effective quality management. 11. Supervise, guide, monitor, and allocate work to quality control inspectors. 12. Audit & control of plant hygiene, personnel hygiene. Ensure pest control. 13. Conduct regular All Time Audit Readiness (ATAR) audits. 14. Ensure development of high standard of plant, process equipment hygiene. 15. Ensure adherence to line clearance protocols. 16. Suggest/Provide corrective & preventive actions (CAPA)in case of product deviation and/or rejection in collaboration with production & engineering team as the case may be. 17. Be part of customer complaint handling team. Do Root Cause Analysis (RCA), plan & execute CAPA 18. Support and assist to implement the change in the processes and overall functional & cross functional working. 19. QA-QC Budgeting and control related to scope of activity
