Assistant Professor of Computer Science

Beyond research, you will takethe lead in designing, delivering, and continuously enhancing innovativeteaching across various modules and programmes. You'll be responsible fordeveloping teaching materials and techniques and effectively planning and executingall teaching and assessment activities. Furthermore, you will play a vital rolein the academic supervision and support of students. Your contributions willalso extend to administrative and managerial responsibilities, such as takingon duties as a Programme Director or Module Co-ordinator.

Qualifications and Experience:

• PhD in Computer Science or a related subject area from a recognised institution, or equivalent experience.
• Appropriate academic professional and teaching qualifications or a willingness to complete the Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice.
• Specialist knowledge in Computer Science or a related subject.
• A minimum of 2 years of post-PhD academic research and teaching experience.
• Proven ability to contribute to high quality research which is publicly evidenced.
• Experience of taking responsibility for teaching and learning at undergraduate and ideally postgraduate level.
• Evidence of successful course planning, design and delivery across a range of modules.
• Ability to develop research objectives, projects and proposals.
